U-In ("we," "us," or "our") operates a golf scoring and event management platform available at u-in.net. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.

• Name — to identify you in events and on leaderboards.
• Mobile phone number — to send you event invitations and scoring links via SMS.
• Email address — optional, for future correspondence.
• GHIN Number — optional, used solely to retrieve your USGA Handicap Index from the GHIN service.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Send SMS messages containing your event invite and scoring link.
• Display your name and score on the event leaderboard.
• Calculate handicaps using data retrieved from the USGA GHIN service.

We do not use your information for marketing purposes and we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or advertising. Opt-in data and consent for text messaging will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates.

4. SMS Messaging and Mobile Data

By providing your mobile phone number and confirming your participation in an event, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from U-In related to that event (e.g., your scoring link, event updates).

Program name: U-In Golf Event Notifications. Message frequency: Approximately 2–3 messages per event you participate in. Message and data rates may apply.

To opt out: Reply STOP to any text message from us at any time. You will receive a confirmation and no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at the email below.

5. Data Retention

Your information is retained for as long as you participate in events through U-In. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at micscottj@hotmail.com.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

• Twilio — for SMS delivery. Your phone number is transmitted to Twilio solely to send you messages.
• USGA GHIN — to retrieve handicap data when you provide a GHIN number.

7. Security

We store your data in a secured database and use HTTPS for all communications. We implement reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
